How Oversight is charged.
A short understanding of what you pay for and at what rate. It is not a separate contract: Oversight is supplied under the GEN Framework Agreement, which remains the commercial agreement between you and GEN.
1. About this agreement
This service agreement sets out how Oversight is charged. Oversight is supplied under the GEN Framework Agreement, which you accepted when your gen.uk account was opened. If anything here conflicts with the Framework Agreement, the Framework Agreement prevails.
2. Usage credits
Oversight is charged by the check. Every time a sensor checks something, such as a ping, a web page or an SNMP value, it uses credits, and heavier checks use more, as shown in the pricing on this website. Calls to the Oversight API use credits too. Credits are charged at the rate published on this website, currently £0.00002 per credit.
Charges are for the checks, not for time spent signed in. Once a sensor is set up it keeps checking, and using credits, around the clock until it is removed, whether or not anyone is looking. Usage is metered by GEN and invoiced monthly in arrears, and must be paid for in line with the payment terms of the Framework Agreement.
3. AI analysis and assistance, if enabled
AI analysis and assistance, such as the overview at the top of an alarm and written reports, apply only if enabled for your estate. If enabled, their use of GEN's large language models is billed at the token rates published on gen.uk, and invoiced with your usage. The models run in GEN's own datacentres: nothing is sent to a third party, and prompts are not logged.
4. GEN's services
Everything in Oversight can be configured by your own staff at no charge. Design, configuration, management, assistance and integration work carried out by GEN at your request is chargeable at the rates published on this website under Services.
5. Rates and changes
The rates that apply are those published when the credits, tokens or work are used. GEN may update this service agreement. The current version is always at this address, and the version you accepted is recorded against your account.
6. Stopping
You may stop using Oversight at any time by telling GEN. Charges incurred up to that point remain payable.
